About the Gay Community Yellow Pages
The Gay Community Yellow Pages started in Atlanta twenty years ago by entrepreneur Marci Alt. The first year, we produced a sixty-page book with only 250 advertisers. Her idea was received well by both business owners and our community. We knew we had a viable product when our second publication was released with double the advertisers! Consumers in our community really liked what we had to offer, as it was beneficial for both consumers and local business that support our community.
Business owners are always looking for new and creative ways to advertise their business and grow. With new advertising avenues being few and far between, our unique approach to niche market advertising coupled with rates far below that of any other yellow page directory covering Metro-Atlanta, makes it difficult for smart business people to resist advertising in The Gay Community Yellow Pages.
Unfortunately, everyone in our community has been discriminated against at one time or another; as we all know, it’s no fun at all. Discrimination never makes any individual feel good and no individual should be treated differently based on their sexual orientation. Our publication allows our consumers to patron businesses that welcome individuals from our community. We have been proudly fighting discrimination and homophobia in our community since 1989 so you hopefully won’t have to.
We appreciate the support of all our advertisers, new and old. In addition, we appreciate the support of our consumers! With out you both, we would not have been able to serve our community for as long as we have.
